I am so over winter. (A list.)

  • It is almost noon. I have not had coffee. So many tears. Nick drank it all last night trying to do work. He is still asleep. Sweet misery.
  • I had an unexpectedly productive weekend updating Someday Soon! I can't wait for my Valentine's Day packaging to arrive in the mail so I can make everything all love-y and shit.
  • Is it bad that I want (yet another) wedding ring for Valentine's Day? Well, I do.
  • E.T. ... phone home. (That's been stuck in my head all week.) What in the hell?
  • I got two muslin backdrops and I hate their guts. Back to photo paper I go! I haven't even wanted to take photos because it turns out so horrific.
  • I made vegan mac and "cheese" with this Oh She Glows recipe and it was pretty freaking good for the fakeness.
  • I feel like 40 pounds lighter eating mainly vegan. (I say mainly because I've eaten some eggs. They don't hurt my stomach and I love them.)
  • I need a professional organizer like they have on Hoarders. I think it would just make life easier.
  • I also need to hit the lottery.
  • Every time I get really mad I put a lot of chapstick on. So odd. I've been doing it for years and can't stop.
  • I thrifted some amazing books this weekend and I spent last night cuddled up with one of them. Halfway through and it feels good. My business seems to run my life and I don't read as much as I used to.
  • Anyone got any good vegan cookie recipes? I made peanut butter cookies but they lacked the crunch I like. They were too soft. (I blame the apple sauce I used instead of eggs and butter.)
  • Rain. Snow. Ice. I am so over winter.
  • I can't wait to go to Panama!
  • "Much success to ya, even if you wish me the opposite..." - Nas
  • I got this incredible 80s mom coat last week and I'm in love! It makes me laugh so hard but I'm so warm!
  • I wish I had tofu scramble and wheat toast and a gallon of coffee right now. Wake up, husband.
  • Hometown love? I wish.
  • You make me feel like a natural woman... WOMAN! (lmao I just sang that in the hopes it would wake my man up. Nope. I am really laughing hard though.)
  • I dig that new Toro y Moi, y'all! My lovely Lena put me on.
  • I also want a mani/pedi for Valentine's Day. I've got lots of wishes.
  • I got my glasses from Firmoo and instead of being a cross between Harry Potter and Anna Wintour I look more like... ummm, an old man who is wearing someone's hand me down specs. Oh, heavens. I contacted them to see if I could return/exchange them. Hopefully so. If not, you can all point and laugh when I post my review. Waaaaah.
  • I got some new black booties and I need somewhere to wear them! My life isn't one filled with opportunities to wear heels.
  • We went to a place called Squealer's for our friends birthday last weekend. Not a lot for a veggie but they had Sun King on special! I drank my calories.
  • The Red Bull Thre3style (DJ Competition) was incredible! I was so happy to see some of my favorite local djs in one place.
  • Everything is not broken.
  • I had my hopes up high that a studio space would be right for our businesses but, alas, it was not. I reaaaaallllly need an office/studio space. My business has outgrown our house. Plus it'd be so rad to separate my work & home. I'm visualizing and willing it to be.
  • Dreaming of chickens, too. The appeal hasn't worn off. Still wanna raise 'em!
  • “In the beginner's mind there are many possibilities. In the expert's mind there are few.” - Shunryu Suzuki
  • I have more ideas than time. (And money.)
  • Frida hair rocks my world.
  • He's up!!!! Time for yums!

  2. I agree, great post. And I am beyond over winter. Esp after walking to work in slippery ass snow whilst freezing and sweating at the same damn time.

Also, Frida always rocks my world. And I hated those coats when I was young, but wouldn't mind one right about now, lol

    1. Poor dear! I shouldn't complain so much when I don't have to leave the house much!

Frida is... *swoons* A majestic woman!

That coat is so warm. It keeps me laughing, too! I have a long, black puffy coat but the lining is messed up. I snatched that 80s coat up for $2.50 and the lining (and pockets) are in tact. I ain't too good for it! lol

    1. Hey Darcy! I will ultimately on my best days only be vegan-ish because I love eggs. I had to kick cheese and ice cream to the curb because they caused me so much physical distress. (I haven't been able to drink milk pretty much ever because of the cramping so that was long gone.) I have issues with how egg laying chickens are treated and raised commercially so I've been planning since last summer to get some to raise, love, and share their yummy eggs. :) My son is not a vegetarian or vegan and eats loads of eggs so it'd be beneficial for him, too. :)

  6. A great egg replacer I use is called Ener-G. I've had a vegan diet for 3 or 4 years now and my favorite thing to do is to take any non-vegan dish and make it vegan. That stuff comes in handy.
We are also getting some chickens this spring. My son and my partner aren't veg'n so they'll be eating the eggs (not the chickens) and I'll just be loving them.
