So there is a rad old door in our garage. (There are actually quite a few but they have glass panes and stuff.) I have been envisioning an awesome table or desk made with that damn thing for like 6 months. I'm not crafty or handy. If it can't be glued together it cannot be accomplished in my world. 9/10 sweet husband is not amused by my hair brained schemes. I've seen tons of easy looking DIYs that involve a door and some saw horses. Totally works for me! I didn't want to use industrial looking sawhorses though so the ones I saw at Lowes were a no go. Today I bought two vintage sawhorses from Midland and rushed home to assemble my glorious table-desk-thing.
As you can see, this shit does not fit. The door is too thin for the saw horses. Should I get a new (larger) door? Glass? Just make legs for this crap and call it a day? Hell, I don't know. I am allowing myself a beverage and some breathing room while I figure it all out. It is currently pouring down raining on my retro rubbish so there's not much I could do anyway.
Two good things though?
I got this rug for our bedroom today. Freaking amazeballs.
Nick is home and we went to dinner (sans whining kiddos) for our anniversary last night.
We went to Iozzo's. Yummy Italian food and a beautiful courtyard with twinkling lights. We definitely needed a little alone time!
I hope your weekend was wonderful and your DIYs rocked the f out!
